  1. bus fare in CHINA?! even air-bus, no way it should cost cost more than 30rmb. (even in expensive such as Shanghai, the bus from Shanghai airport to railway costs only 18rmb, and the bus from Shenzhen airport to railway costs ...forgot 14 or 20rmb.) the best travelling site (and I have used it to book all my trips in china) was www.ctrip.com although I must say the chinese site functions better (chinese site has instant quotation of flight prices whereas some times it doesn't work in the English site but you can always call in or email). they reply fairly quickly. from Hangzhou to Singapore, there might not be many flights, and hence expensive. from Shanghai (to Singapore), if you book early enough (3 weeks is ideal, 2 wks is luck), you may get the cheapest one way around 2300rmb incl. tax, or return around 2800rmb incl. tax. the cheaper airlines are china eastern, indonesian garuda & zimbawe airline (Singapore airline is of course the most expensive)
  2. My recollection is that it was cheap, no more than 30 CNY (otherwise I would remember if I had to pay more than that) but I took it from downtown to the airport and it should be the same fare (although you never know). Make sure you take the correct bus though. I am pretty sure it is route #1, and you get off at the end of the line, next to the train station. If you chose to go by cab, don't listen to the guys at the exit trying to get you a fare for 200 or 300 CNY. The correct fare is no more than 100 CNY. You may never find a cab at that price if you are a foreigner, as all cab drivers are on this together even though it is illegal. A Chinese friend told me to complain to a cop, but I never did as in the end I ended up finding a good driver who took me downtown for a reasonable price (with a 25% markup...but sometimes you got to take some losses, especially exhausted after a long flight, sweating like a pig because it is so hot and humid, you have to figure out where you are going and can't find anyone to help, and you have a ton of luggage to tow around while clutching on your passport and wallet...)...
