About HGH?
I'm 17, 6'0, about to get into weight lifting and was wondering about HGH. Might it give me some height? I'm extremely unhappy about my height. I come from an extremely tall gene pool, yadda yadda. How much does it generally cost (obviously this wouldn't be quite legal)? Dangers? Anything pertinent. Please don't leave an answer calling me an idiot or whatever, I have my reasons. PLEASE don't answer if you don't know anything about HGH I never said I was interested in body building. I said weight lifting. I want functional STRENGTH, not to look strong. I also made clear I know I can't get it legally prescribed. The other two answers were rather excellent. Thanks.

- HGH I assume you are asking about Human Growth Hormone. It's not illegal. Many people take it for various reasons to prevent diseases and some people believe it's like the fountain of youth. At your age, 17 and being male, you might not be done growing just yet. You might have one more growth spurt left. Even if you do not at 6'0" you are taller than the average male which is like 5'10". I think you are a perfect height. However, you can obtain HGH at various websites on the internet, I'm not sure if you have to be 18 to get it though. I don't think you do. Firstly begin a ketogenic diet.When you exercise or lift weights, do it on an empty stomach. Consume water only...nothing with calories should be consumed during exercise. Then once the exercise regimen human growth hormone will flow into the bloodstream. It is important not to eat for an hour afterward or you will diacivate the human growth hormone. After an hour passes consume a high protein, low carbohydrate meal, such as a steak with sliced tomatoes, romain lettuce and a 1/2 an avocado. I love steak so that Is what I will always say but a high protein diet can also have a thick chicken breast with cauliflower and mustard greens. You can enrich your protein by adding some shrimp or scallops with your meal. Anyway, don't be afraid of a nice hearty meal after a nice hearty workout. Your following meals should also be ketogenic.
- you are too old to use HGH for that purpose. plus no Dr. in the US would use prescribe it too you if they wanted to maintain their license to practice medicine. the doses needed to create an effect on the skeletal system would probably run you the minumum of $5k month on the black market. not quite sure why you would want to increase your height if you are interested in weight training for muscle mass. it takes a lot more muscle mass to fill out a 6'5 frame than it does at 6'0. this is exactly why most heavyweight professional bodybuilders are shorter than average. a competitor at say 5'5 might have to be around 240 lbs and in single digit body fat to be in compeition shape today. a man a 6'5 would have to be around 350 lbs in single digit body fat to appear to have an equal amount of muscle mass
