I am looking for an effective treatment for Rosacea. Any suggestions would be appreciated.?
My mother has Rosacea and I am trying to find a treatment (other than laser peeling) to treat the redness and swelling, or better yet, prevent the outbreaks. Thank You.

- Anti biotics. Internal and external. They are expensive and don't always works. Cream is like $25 US and pills are like $50. Cheaper if you get it from Canada
- Start immediately eating an all raw diet. No meat, dairy, white sugar, white sugar, iodized salt, artificial anything, or soda. Please check out and read the source below. I know of many people with different conditions(including diabetes and cancer) that have been cured by following this life changing plan.
- I went to the dermatologist this past week and was diagnosed with rosacea and seborrhea. He gave me prescriptions for a shampoo to use every other day, an antibiotic to take once daily and a steroid type cream to put on my face twice daily. It has been less than a week and I can already see the difference. I have the patchy, scaly stuff and then the red areas with bumps and broken veins. I am very optimistic about this clearing up. I see the Dr. again in 5 weeks. She needs medical help and rosacea does get worse without treatment.
- talk to a dermotologist
- Rosacea is a genetically linked disease, mostly occuring in women, but also in men. It cannot be cured but it can be treated. In most cases, low doses of tetracycline and a topical application of metronidazole (daily) will control it.
- A good dermotologist will put her on tetracycline for a few weeks and tell her to use an anti-biotic clear gel called MetroGel which is the standard treatment for rosacea. Also if she is bothered by the redness use Eucerines Redness Relief foam moisturizer which can be used over the Metrogel. It's green and nuetrilizes the redness. I had that and my face was really bad and getting worse by the day. I had a bad dr, so I found a new one and now my face is back to normail even though I must use the MetroGel for the rest of my life. I am also off the pills, don't need them anymore.
