Microdermabrasion or Gylcolic Peels? I am starting to get fine lines around my eyes and on my forehead...?
would microdermabrasion or gylcolic acid peels help to get rid of the lines? Which would be best? Anyone have experience with either of these procedures?? Thanks.

- I use at home versions of. both and both work very well. I'm 39 & I don't have a line, wrinkle, or blemish on my face. Most importantly ALWA YS use suncreen. It's the main cause of aging, lines, wrinkles, & discolorations of the skin. Never ever tan and protect your skin and always use a glycolic acid product twice a day, (I use Alpha-Hydrox and my sunscreen) and the microdermabrasion a couple times a week & you'll be gorgeous and young looking. I've been doing this for about 15 years & I'm sooooo happy I started at a young age, I love the fact that people think I'm in my 20's. Happy New Year.
- Peels work better for me, but everyone is different. Here's a couple of products to consider-- http://great-face.com/greatskin%c2%ae-dcx-dark-eye-serum/ http://great-face.com/greatskin%c2%ae-eye-throat-bio-moist/ http://great-face.com/test/ Good luck!
- it means you're getting old...
- Strivectin works really really well. It is well worth the cost. look it up on the net, but I know that you can get it from bath and body works and macys
- I've done both, both are great. Both will help smooth your skin and reduce fine lines. For comparison, glycolic peel stings a bit as the product activates on your skin. If your only concern is fine lines, I would recommend microdermabrasion as it is more mechanical than chemical, while glycolic peel is chemical and therefore requires a course of treatment otherwise no result will be visible.
- The TimeWise® Microdermabrasion Set was developed for anyone with fine lines and visible pores or dry, flaky skin who wants to see healthier, younger-looking skin immediately. Step 1: Refine is an advanced exfoliator that immediately energizes the skin to reveal a more radiant, healthy-looking surface. This creamy white lotion with exfoliating crystals: • feeds and nourishes the skin from below through increased microcirculation. This brings oxygen to the top of the skin to stimulate circulation creating a healthy, more radiant glow. • reduces the appearance of pores by effectively removing the dead skin cells that naturally form inside and around the outer edge of every pore. Step 2: Replenish is immediately absorbed into the skin to instantly smooth and soften. This lightweight, opalescent lavender serum: • feeds and nourishes the skin from above with an exclusive Mary Kay® triple tea complex. • aids the rejuvenation process and protects against environmental pollutants. • soothes the skin and helps to bring it back in balance. • prepares the skin for the next step in skin care. HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM OTHER MICRODERMABRASION PRODUCTS ON THE MARKET? Many brands offer only one step. Others merely offer a moisturizer as the second step. Step 2: Replenish really separates Mary Kay’s microdermabrasion set from the competition. It is a rich serum, containing vitamins, antioxidants and anti-irritants that nourishes the soft, smooth skin revealed by Step 1: Refine. if you want more info please email me at kaylexasmom@marykay.com. I can send you samples to try and see if you like it.
