Should I be using anti-aging products?
I am still young (in my late twenties), but the big 3-0 is looming before me. I know theoretically, 30 is still young, but it has me worried about my skin. I currently use a cleanser, toner, an SPF25 face moisturizer and an SPF15 under eye moisturizer. All products by Clinique. Do I need anything else? I want to prevent any signs of aging as long as I can. Or is this not necessary until my thirties? I wish this country wasn't so age obsessed.... *sigh* I want to keep my routine simple and have been putting the SPF25 on also at night. Maybe I could just use Aloe, or do I need to buy something?

- It wont hurt to use a light moisturizer every night, anti aging stuff is probably unnecessary :) Live healthy, don't smoke (or hang around in smoky areas), drink only in moderation and you will look young for a very long time!!
- You sound like you are doing great with your regimen. The only thing I would add is to visit a Dermatologist & have an exam of moles, freckles etc. to make sure all is well & you haven't missed anything.
- I am in the biz, and anti aging products do not really do much more than you are already doing. If you want to look younger try a chemical peel, or microderm abrasion or a combo of both. Cell turnover products can also provide an at home type of affect similar to chemical peels with out the risk. Nutrition and general health play an important role as you probably already know. Just beware most skin care marketing is centered around "the next big thing", but claims made are just advertising as most skin care is not regulated by the FDA.
- well i think you should start wearing sun protection on your skin everyday to slow the aging process down and if you really want to know what to do for your age group to slow aging down go to the library or a bookstore ang get bobby brown beauty evolution and that will tell you what to do for your skin on each decade 20's , 30's , 40's , 50's , 60's ,70's and above
- wait until you are real close to forty, then start using the anti aging stuff... unless you see signs of aging before then, hich you shouldnt.... you are taking good care of your skin... good luck!
- I started using anti-aging products when I was 33 because I started noticing the aging was showing up. Statistically, signs of aging begin at 20. Things that increase the aging process are smoking, extra exposure to the sun, alcohol use, and poor skin care. With all that in mind, I use Mary Kay skin care. I use their timewise products because they are formulated to my skin (and yours), and they have anti-aging to them in a patented formula. They are guaranteed to work, and they have a spectacular reputation. Furthermore, they are much less expensive than clinique. I use the cleanser, day solution, night solution, moisturizer, eye creams, lip primer, and different things to help me look younger. I also like the fact that my consultant remembers me. She knows what I use and she knows what will be useful to me. I have found the sooner someone begins the fight on aging the better results they have. I have been to Mary Kay meetings and events, and these are the best looking women on the planet. As for being age obsessed, I think this sums it up, "I don't mind aging, I just don't want to look the part." Rebecca. Check out www.marykay.com/rebecca.
