- i get a chemical peel once a week, not the kind that leave you scarred for a week, but it's an unbelievable difference still. i do know people who have gotten the major peels, and say it works, you've just got to stay home for a while for sure. also there are skin lighteners for hyperpigmentation. . .dark spots. . that work pretty well too. best thing is to go to a reputable place, get a facial, and ask as many questions as you can think of. i know a few good ones, in chicago land, but don't know where you are from. good luck hope that helped?
