Chemical Peels too extreme???? Any Help???
I'm a cook at a Chinese restaurant and they do a lot of strifryed foods and the oil's really been messing up my skin. I'm starting to look for another job that gives more hours anyway but I'm afraid that the damage to my skin will be irriversable. It's not even that I'm getting pimples, it's more like my skin is just so uneven now, like millions of itsybitsy bumps cover my face. I have proactive but it only seems to be helping whenever I get a really visible pimple. I also have tons of blackheads aswell. I don't even know what Chemcal peels do, or whether it's too extreme for my case...but if anyone has any ideas, please let me know....

- Chemical peels are too extreme but if you have a high tolerance for pain, go for it. It has been proven the results of a chemical peel are worth it. But the pain I can't even image. I mean your burning off a layer of skin.
- If you're considering chemical peel... Chemical peel uses a chemical solution to improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin by removing its damaged outer layers. It is helpful for those individuals with facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation. To be most successful, this procedure should be performed only on those patients who are good candidates for it. In general, dissatisfaction may occur in individuals with unsatisfactory skin color or texture, or underlying medical conditions.
- microdermabrasion
- this is just sumthing normal..not to worry. just a work hazard dat comes along with it..all u gotta do is exfoliate ur face once a day like using an apricot scrub ie. after a days werk to get rid of da bump and blackhead. then apply some oil control moisturiser .use a face mask twice a week. dat will help.chemicals peel only remove the superficial layer of da skin to promote cell renewal growth but its costly and there no guarantee dat it is safe cause peels do cause allergies, making ur face red and sumtime inflammation.
- A chemical peel is more for reducing fine lines and wrinkles....I think it's much too 'extreme' for acne. A deep cleaning facial mask would be good. Make sure you are exfoiliating well. It may not make sense because of working around oils...but make sure you are keeping your skin moisturized...not only does it help your skin but it acts as a protectant. You may want to stop by the dermatologist if this is new....it could even be a skin infection like impetigo. But, anyway...I think a chemical peel is NOT a good idea, or needed.
