How effective are chemical peels?

I wear foundation everyday because I don't think I have good looking skin. I envy girls who have great skin and can get away with looking beautiful without foundation. Is a chemical peel what people get to smooth and even skin tone and make pores smaller? Because that's what I feel like I need. At least something to make my skin smoother and even my skin tone and something to get rid of scars.

2. They are very effective. They come in different strengths and you will need to work your way up. Adumbration is great too. Just make sure you check out the doctor who will be doing the work. when it comes to your face don't go the cheap route. Great skin is a worthwhile investment.
