can i use light makeup after glycolic peels?

my dermatologist, who did it said no harm in using sunscreen then why not a little powder, a little??? i got it done for the first time on mondy and now i have to go college and i look horrrible wityhout make up............

1. i kind of want to say no. after a glycolic peel you SHOULD use sunscreen. mainly because you just peeled off a few layers of skin on your face. you now have new fresh skin that is going to be exposed to the sun, which can be a bit much. and because this skin is so fresh and new you really dont want to irritate it. i would recommend waiting at least a few days before putting on make up. only because most foundations and make up have artificial binders or fillers in them and some are even fragranced... this much may be too much for your skin to handle in such a delicate and sensitive state. let it heal first. if you feel that you really cant go out without something, your best route would be to consult your dermatologist and ask her for approved make up brands or products that you can use for a little cover up. or try to find an all natural product.
