- The try at home types are really mild. They merely "tickle" your skin's epidemis. It takes a few months of weekly use to see results. To really have a drastic result immediately, you have to see a dermatologist. But there is a "down time" in which your face would be reddish and peeling. This could last between 3 to 14 days, depending on the strength of the chemical. Talk to your local dermatologist to get a clearer picture of the down time and the charges.
- I use the more mild peels at home (glycolic acid) and these work great. I'm thinking of doing a deeper peel at home, (TCA) but I'm a bit apprehensive. I know a lot of women do their own chemical peels, but it's still scary, especially when these are medical strength peels. HTH : )
