Chemical Peels?

Is it safe that the aesthetician has treated my face with chemical peel two weeks apart? And she's gonna do it again next week... I've also been having a break out since being treated by this person. Is it normal? Also, how do I hide the fact that I'm peeling? I don't wear make-up and I doubt they'd allow me to wear huge shades while in class.

  1. Yikes. You put yourself through that? I watch 10 years younger all the time, and it just looks painful (this is actually odd coming from someone who gets a brazilian wax but anywho). Are you older? I thought chemical peels were from people who had a ton of skin damage. I dunno... I would say you shouldn't get the peels that close together, but I'm no expert.
  2. Try contactin the owner of the salon and ask them your question...
  3. Back in high school I had bad acne so I started getting chemical peels, and my dermatologist did one every two weeks, so I'm sure it's fine what yours is doing. It's normal to have a breakout....only having had two peels won't heal your breakouts forever. Oh, and the peeling. That was absolutely horrible...I remember I tried so many things to hide it. Don't try to cover it up with concealer, it doesn't work. Go to any drugstore and pick up Aquafor. It's a lotion you apply to dry skin and it has tons of moisture and it will really help with the peeing, I used it the whole time and what was nice was that even though it was a very heavy moisturizer, it did not cause me to break out.
