im thinking of quitting smoking?im worried about getting wrinkles!?

i know it causes lots of other problems too...of course. im 25 and im quite worried in case i start getting wrinkles..i dont smoke heavily, less that ten a day. but ive been smoking since i was 16, so its been a while. i know the smoke causes a depletion of vitamin c so ive been taking a vitamin c/collagen supplement as well as collagen cream and anti ageing moisturisers on my face.do you think these may help stop me getting wrinkles?and how long does it take for smoking related wrinkles to start to show? i really want to stop but i kinda have no self control i hate it!

  1. it may help but you should really try to stop...
  2. try going to councilling or you can get tapes that you play when you're asleep and they give you confidence in trying to quit. you could always try the nicorette products too because they have a really good rate of improving peoples lives :) good luck The creams may help the wrinkles fropm coming through but your best option is to go to a spa or somewhere and have facials which is relaxing and would dramatically improve your skin
  3. First step to quitting, is you HAVE TO WANT TO. Dont even try it if you dont want to 100%. I think youll be fine on the wrinkle dept, but Id keep using like Oil of Olays eye treatments, stuff like that. Just take care of your skin......I used the nicotine patch, the 3 step thing, and only used 2 steps, and i quit. I started chewing more gum, ate mints, which helped quite a bit. Its not just the nicotine, its the habit of doing it. When I drove, I smoked more, it kept my hands busy. I have a manual vehicle, so I wrapped some beads and a rubber band around the shifter, I play with that while driving. Good luck! But remember, you have to WANT to quit.
  4. Nothing is as bad and injurious as smoking. The earlier you quit this bad habit the better for you. I assure you that nothing adverse will happen it you quit this smoking habit. good luck
  5. Honestly, as far as the damages from smoking go, wrinkles should be last on your list of concerns. Though, I guess it doesn't really matter what your reason is for quitting, as long as you do it. Your health should be a higher priority than your potential for wrinkling. The best way to prevent smoking related wrinkles (no matter what else you're doing for your skin) is to STOP SMOKING.
  6. If you want to keep your face from getting smoking related wrinkles you must quit smoking. There is no cream that you apply on the skin that will counteract the poisons in the cigarette. It is the poisonous chemicals in the tobacco that is damaging to your skin and destroying the collagen from the inside out. Taking a vitamin C won't keep all the other bad things from happening. The only way you can stop tobacco related damage from happening is to quit smoking. It's not easy, but it can be done. Self control has nothing to do with the addictive properties of nicotine, it is a chemical dependency and all the will power in the world is useless against it. One of my assistants used nicorette to ease the cravings, it took six months but he's now cigarette free and stopped the treatment. He got a big scare when his aunt died from brain cancer, a side effect from tobacco related lung cancer. It went from her lungs to her brain and she was dead in six months. Yes, this is meant to scare you. Smoking leads to scary things. There are few habits worse for heath than cigarette smoking, it leads to more than just wrinkles. Stop now for the sake of your health.
  7. Stop smoking. If you don't know how to quit, take a look at http://stopsmoking.eu.pn/ It's a new approach designed for everyone who seriously wants to stop smoking for free without drugs, patches, nor gaining weight. The site tackles smoking from an addiction perspective; It doesn’t matter if you are a five a day teenager, or a one hundred a day pensioner, male or female, or if this is your first or fiftieth attempt at stopping, if you follow all instructions, you'll certainly become a non-smoker.
  8. Smoking dries out your skin and causes wrinkles. The sooner you stop, the less wrinkles you will develop. Have you tried the patch? It costs about the same as a carton of cigarettes. Are there any other reasons to quit smoking?
