ARE BANANA PEELS A GOOD SOURCE OF VITAMINS FOR PLANTS SUCH AS PLUM TREES?
My brother heard it on the movie 7 pounds. I was just wondering because we searched it up on Google and it said that a persons neighbor used banana peels on his or her roses and they grew fantastically.

- Yeah any organic material can be turned into compost that will greatly benefit your plants. Bananas in particular are a source of potassium, and potassium is a nutrient that plays a large part in the bloom quality of many plants. If you have a plant that flowers, or a tree that bears fruit, they could benefit from the high potassium. But you can't just stick banana peels under a tree, you have to make compost.
- I've heard the same thing, from people who grow some wonderful gardens.
- Plants have no use for vitamins. They all need proper minerals. Organic waste is one method to provide them.
