Why has my skin color totally changed?
I'm of Italian heritage and since the day I was born up to age 16 I had olive skin, i never burned, always tanned and FAST. I'm 27 now and I stopped going in the sun when I became interested in skin care & anti aging. So after 11 years of avoiding the sun my skin is the lightest on a skin chart. I am always the lightest skin person everywhere I go. Can not going in the sun completely change your skin color??? How can I get it to be a more "normal" shade? Thanks

- Maybe you THOUGHT you had permanent olive skin, yet have you ever thought that you just had grew up living in a really sunny area? You mentioned you tanned easily and quick. So, with those symptoms this does sort of make since! Not being around the sun a lot can make skin paler. (And 11 years IS a long time!) But, if you don't like really light skin, just spend more time in the sun again and BOOM! Your solution to a more darker skin shade! ~Hope this helps! =)
- I am part Italian and lost most of my olive color when I became a teen. I'm not sure why it happens. I still don't burn easily though. I go to tanning beds to keep up a base tan, you could also try tanning creams.
- sunlight is good for you.
- Why did you avoid the sun if you do not want to be a lighter complexion? Your skin will always have more melanin, it just seems different for you because you are comparing yourself to before when you were tanned in the summer to now when it is winter and you have been avoiding the sun! So, to get a normal shade, wear sunscreen in the sun and go about your business without worrying if you are tanning too fast.
- many of my friends have showed me pictures of their moms when they were young. they look totally different. =) i think over the years in your lifetime your skin color changes. or maybe because of the global warming. possibly that has something to do with the suns rays and how they effect our skin color. i would take lots of vitamins and go outside and get some exercise. expose yourself to the sun. wait about 2-3 months and if nothing changes maybe you should go to a skin therapist. i wouldn't be worried..this isn't abnormal for that to happen after your early childhood. i hope it helped you =)
- did that and ya its true. in Modelling they Advice not to go in Sun.-for it causes aging-bc skin has a layer ,ELASTIN which loses its property in sun(elastin=elastic this is what the site said) TIPS TO BE HAPPY WHOLE DAY: 1st it says ''go out 6-8 in Sun which is 'Natural Light' Best of all lights. if missed it,if you can't come out of his office full daytime, atleast go out for lunch at noon.but rem noon light is not better than any light.'' (then I realized- that sun is source of energy created by god and so we need that energy to release the whole day,as created by him.it says that noon light is worst bc it has got high energy so it tends to excite body quickly,so it says atleast in noon,so in a short time we will get all the energy.that energy is used to release happiness full day) Health Doctor Adv:- he said one atleast shud go out in sun for 10-15 min's a day to get the required VitD/day w/out sunscreen/anything on his skin.(shud get it naturally)
