Is it littering to throw a banana peel out the car window? What about orange peels?

I always think it's okay if I'm on the open road and there are no houses buildings around. Sorry, I'm not convinced. It's not litter!

1. littering harms the wildlife not just people and also makes the place look bad but i think banana peels and things like that should be ok because they are natural but any plastic is a no-no
2. Throwing anything out of a car window is littering. If you threw something like bread, there is a chance birds would eat it. But they aren't going to eat orange or banana peels

4. Banana peels are only considered littering when you throw them in front of a clown and he falls really hard which makes everyone laugh. This causes a serious possibility of a car crash and pileup on the roads so you will definately get a ticket for that. An orange peel is ok at all times since it actually cleans the sidewalks and such. Its the same stuff used in that kitchen cleaner with the orange smell, the citrus acts like a cleaning agent. You might even get reward if you do it right in front of a cop. They love to give out gold stars to people like you!
5. It is littering to throw anything out the car window. It is essentially garbage and it looks nasty on the road, no matter how biodegradable it may eventually be. How hard is it for you to keep a trash bag in the car and dispose of it properly at your next stop?? It's called planning ahead.

According to the source below it takes an apple core 2 months to decompose thats a long time to look at the garbage you threw out of your car window!!
11. I live in Minnesota and technically, it's littering when snow falls off of your car...so here, at least, a banana peel would be littering. By technically, I mean you could be issued a citation for it but I'd like to think the police officers have better things to do than giving me a ticket for snow falling off of my car.
