How effective is the Chin Chun Su facial cream?

I went to a Filipino store earlier and they sell it here in US. Would you recommend this product? Many thanks in advance.

  1. most products from china are potentially dangerous. they do not have the same safety and health standards than products produced in america. better be safe than sorry. it's in your face that you are putting on the facial cream.
  2. i would not recommend it.they say it's high in lead content.and ifever you apply it on your face, the scent that lingers does not smell nice.
  3. that chinaman came on my face and my skin was irritated for days! I should've charged him triple.
  4. right now don't buy any product made in china, they might contain melamine.buy an american brand.
  5. uhmmmmm....people, IT'S NOT FROM CHINA, IT'S FROM TAIWAN! anyway, i dunno. i've done some little research on the net and found out that its active ingredients are sulfur and salicylic acid. i just don't know how much of these ingredients are found in chin chun su because in right amount, they can be great for the skin with acne. so assuming that it is safe to use, maybe it's effective too. but chin chun su isn't for sensitive skin coz sulfur and salicylic acid can cause mild peeling which could potentially irritate your skin, like most topical over-the-counter acne treatment product. if you'd like your acne get treated, go to a dermatologist instead. if you're planning to use this as a beauty cream, there are tons of exfoliants out there which could bring out similar result or even better. as for whitening, i think it doesn't really bleaches your skin but just hastens the sloughing off of your dark skin; but too much peeling could make your skin too thin and sensitive.
  6. ROFL!! LOL! Chin-Chun-Su has been here in the Philippines for quite some time now. I used it during my childhood days to get rid of pimples (BTW im 32) and I had this experience when I thought that no one would notice that I am using it but somehow when I was at the "sari-sari store" the lady vendor asked me if I applied chin-chun-su on my face, later realizing that my face looked like an "espasol" hehe. I never used it again...I just let my pimples have their day on my face, nagsawa din sila hehe...it soon healed, and now I am POGI. hahaha. joke =)
