Is salicylic acid make your face peel?
My face hurts when i touch it. Is it made to peel. And after it peals, will it start treating acne.

- The acid is a harsh treatment for acne and often times it doesnt help at all. if will cause your face to dry out and flake and maybe even breakout again. Have you tried proactive? Its about 20$ for a trial kit, but it works really well if you use it often.
- salicylic acid is one of the best sources that help treat and prevent acne, but sometimes could be too strong for sensitive skin. This could cause damage to your skin and might make acne worse so, don't force to try products not intended for sensitive skin.
- the acid can be too harsh especially if your product has more that 2%. i would try something else specifically for sensitive skin. moisturize your face (a light moisturizer) after washing it with the acid
- When i use acne medicine with salicylic acid in it, my face gets very dry and peels. It never did heal the acne so i just stopped using it. I now use AcneFree, which makes my skin soft and well, acne free. I havent gotten a bad pimple in about a month. This has benzoyl peroxide in it, and it is simalir to Proactiv. Hope i helped! :)
