What did the orange peel scent mean?

About 25 years ago I was sitting in the living room watching tv with my then wife. We lived in the sticks. No neighbors for miles. My 3 year old daughter was sleeping in the adjacent bedroom. I began to smell orange peel. I turned and asked my wife if she smelled it. She said no at first then yes. About a minute later my daughter woke screaming and crying. I went to see about her and picked her up to comfort her and she said there was a man in her room with a candle. Next day I picked up a book on ghost and there was a chapter on ghosts scents. Orange peel was listed. Do you believe it was a ghost? If so, what did the orange peel scent mean about this particular presence.

1. i don't know what to believe about that....it seems like a sign to me...i have always told that story...i mean how can u ignore that?....u can't....hopefully it was a good ghost that loved Shannon.
2. I have experienced smells with Ghosts, but never a pleasing smell like that.. I have mainly smelt what I would call stale cigarette smoke.. One extremely naughty and rather nasty entity I have to deal with about 18 mths ago used to change the temperature on me, that was very dangerous actually as he was changing my body temperature not my environment.. Most Ghosts mean us no harm, we just share a common space with them, the other dimensions and realms are all around us.. Sometimes the veil between worlds is very thin and they can appear visually to us.. I am in Aussie and for us last night was Samhain, that is when the veil is at it's thinnest and there was activity in my cottage last night I can assure you.. I would say that the orange peal smell to this entity was something personal... Blessed Be.... )O(
