Orange Peel Paper Cut??

Ok so I'm a total dork: you know those NASTY paper cuts you can occasionally get, underneath your fingernail? I was just peeling my afternoon snack: a healthy, delicious, seedless orange. My hand slipped while I was peeling, and the side of my thumbnail bent back and the ORANGE RIND GAVE ME A PAPER CUT UNDER MY THUMBNAIL!! Oh My Goodness - I haven't seen *stars* like that from a papercut, in a long time! Is there anything else I can do for it to stop the BURNING from the orange rind /essence that's probably still up there? I've already rinsed with clean water once it stopped bleeding. (I can't believe I did this...!)

1. Oh my gosh..that's crazy!!! poor thing..just try sqeezing it under water, then put antibiotic ointment on w/ a band aid.. hope you get relief soon!!! ~damn orange~
2. Just how "baby ass" are your FINGERS, anyway?? lol......run some water under your nail to wash away the OJ........lol......maybe you should stick to those fruit cups that don't have to be peeled.........LOL
3. Gosh, and I thought this sort of thing only happened to me! LOL! This has happened to me so many times, and I have never done anything about it other than run cool water on it and then leave it alone. It's much more painful to try and put medicines in it, also, I don't believe it will get infected because orange peel is used as a cleaner too. So, I would just wrap it up in a band-aid, and leave it alone for a few days. Maybe some pain reliever would help? I haven't tried any "remedies" so I wouldn't know. Good luck with that! XD
