Leather like coating /skin on chairs , peels off. How can I repair ?
I have two reclining chairs, and put Sellotape on them while wrapping a parcel. When I lifted the sellotape , it took the skin like cover off the chair. Looks like spray on leather. How do I fix it ? Is there a spray on repair kit ? Directly under the skin , is foam. The skin is the thickness off our own skin , when we get sunburnt. Peels off like it and feels like it !

- Try some shoe polish. Apply it and leave it for a couple of hours. Polish off and re-apply if required. It shouldnt rub off on your clothes if you buff it up enough.
- It sounds to me as if your chairs are upholstered in a synthetic leather which does have a urethane coating or skin this to my knowledge is not repairable.
- What has peeled off is the finish on the leather. This is used as a test to see how strong finishes are and in your case it is not a very robust one. The finish will need replacing otherwise you will have problems with the actual leather itself. Call a qualified leather technician who will be bale to repair this correctly.
