Why does my computer freeze up when I play Roller Coaster Tycoon?

I have a Windows XP and whenever I play any Roller Coaster whether its the first, second, or third (third is the one I have the most problems with) the games freeze. I also get nervous when I save because it'll often freeze up when I save, then I lose EVERYTHING that I put into my park. My computer also freezes even when I'm not playing the game and I have to reboot all the time and it gets really annoying. I tried to reinstall the system but it froze during the process. I don't want to defragment otherwise it'll freeze. I removed some programs that I don't used. I want my computer to be at maxed performance 24/7. But nooooo...Can someone please help me? I don't want to buy another $750.00 computer just to play a game. Thanks if someone answers!

1. With my windows xp everything i did froze- i just finally uninstalled it
2. The game is taxing your memory. Some of these games are really tough on the computer and take up a lot of space.
3. I don't have problems with these games. My computer is made for games, even though it's from 2004. I can't really help you, but i know these games have a few memory leaks that can lag-freeze it. Especially at night time. (I'm talking about RCT3) Try to save often, because if it freezes you won't lose as much. If it keeps happening you might consider uninstalling or getting a better computer. Sorry i can't help.
