Are chemical peels effective on African Americans?does it peel all scars including insect bites chicken poxs?

I am a fair caramel complexed African American that is considering a chemical peel. I have scars on my legs from insect bites like mosquitoes and chicken pox and othe rminor scars that i would like to fade away. How much are Chemical peels and would it be effective on my skin type?

1. Scar is scar. People with black skin scar the worst, as scar tissue tends to be pink, (and thus off-color from their skin.) People with white skin do the best with it, because their skin color often matches the color of scar tissue, so all that a dermabrasion or skin peel can do is smooth it out more so that it is less obvious, but they are actually adding a little more scar in the process...
