How do you make candied orange/lemon peels?

I really want to make sweet candied lemon and oange peels (or slices), and i was wondering if anybody had a really great recepie. Please let me know, thanks!!

3. Creat a simple syrup of 1/2 cup granulated sugar, with 1 cup of water, and let it heat, till it becomes a syrup like consistency. In the meanwhile, peel the lemon and orange peels, just the skin, not the white part, because that part is bitter. Then, when you're syrup is ready, just toss the peel sin and leave them for about 5-10 minute. Watch them!
4. combine sugar and water in equal measure enough to cover your peels or slices with the peel you wasn't to get all of the white stuff which, is A very bitter part of the orange although it contains lots of nutrients, like most of the VitC. Then once the sugar dissolves place your peels in this water and simmer for about 30-45 minutes. Then change out your sugar water for new sugar water and repeat. Do this with a total of three changes of water for either the peels or the slices. Strain and place on a nonstick or parchment paper covered cookie sheet and dry out in the oven on a low temp (250 or so) Tah Dah Candied Orange.........PS This also works well for any kind of nuts you want to candy and you can flavor the water with almond extract, vanillla, or anisette, hope this helps.
