How did HGH help Roger Clemens and Barry Bonds?
HGH simply builds muscle, not strength, how did it increase their success?
Public Comments
- If you have more muscle your gonna be stronger DUHHH
- It didn't. It did however increase recovery time for Clemens and Bonds. These drugs do the unnatural which extended these guys careers. They should have been on the decline at their ages but they only got better with age. Bonds would not have broken the record without the drugs because his career would have slowed down the last few years.
- I think recovering from injury adds to the mix too. If it reduces fatigue or helps the body recover from injury, that's big in the sporting world.
- It's just a matter of rebuilding muscle tissue, especially in cases where traumatic injury occurs and if sports related muscle tears happen. Most of the people here with negative comments all the time have no idea what steroids and HGH do in sports medicine, if prescribed. They think that it makes people like supermen and believe stuff like the plot of Rocky when the Russian boxer shoots up and immediately becomes bulletproof..... It only helped them recover quicker from injury so that they can earn their paychecks by returning to their lineups and not earning while sitting on their benches.
- it didn't increase performance it allowed them to be in their "prime" a lot longer with the help from HGH. It helped them heal and stay healthy. Look at griffey with HGH he could have 750HR because he wouldn't have been hurt as much and as long
