How do you deal with dark under-eye circles?

What make-up and methods do you use to cover dark circles? Are there any creams that work well? (And yes, I know "sleeping" would help ;o).)

  5. yes try going to bed around 8-9 for a week. that will help alot. but for your morning routine: wrap an icecube in a tissue then get it wet. rub it under your eyes and on your eyelids. [also helps with closing pores] then put powder foundation under your eyes as if your a ghost. so basically use a tonn of it. but make sure it doesnt fly away easily. then put on your foundation that you use daily. finaly put concealer on it!! that is the best method ive found to work. remember concealer always goes after foundation. hope this helps. :]]]
  6. Potatoe wedges!! slice a potatoe once and vut the slice in half and put each half under each eye. Lay down and relax for a bit, maybe listen to some music? 20 mins should make it better :] hopei helped!
  7. lol yes sleeping would help but i would recommend like if you are going out somewhere you should use concealers over the dark circles then put foundation over the concealer and after that put like makeup over it that would really help you hide them whenever you are going out somewhere!...but if your just at your house and not going out nowhere try fade cream and put them over your dark circles and they would start fading like in about 2weeks or so depends on how the situation of your dark cirles are!
  8. Some people are genetically cursed with dark undereye circles, and there's nothing we can do to eliminate them, short of surgery. On average, I get 8-10 hours of sleep (12 on the weekends), and my undereye circles never go away. I've had them since I was about 10 years old, and no amount of sleep or cucumber slices makes them go away. My best method, after 10 years of trial and error, is to apply a tinted moisturizer all over the face, including the undereye area, then using a sponge to apply pressed powder to the undereye area. For tinted moisturizer, I use Smashbox....its better than concealer or foundation because it's lightweight and won't look cakey. Also, concealer tends to settle into any fine lines and exaggerate them. For pressed powder, I use Clinique's Almost Makeup in the lightest shade. This has to match your skintone as close as possible, or else you'll have the racoon-eyes or reverse racoon-eyes look, and the discoloration will only draw attention to the area.

  10. I'd recommend trying mark.'s Light Bright -Lighten & Depuff Eye Gel ($8). I have really started to notice that I look more rested after I use it. Then use mark.'s Speedway as your concealer ($8). This stuff is a multi-tasking foundation stick that works great on my dark circles.
  11. Sleeping is not always the reason of dark circles, sometimes you can get 12 hours sleep for a whole week and you will still have dark circles, they can appear for a number of reasons, including hereditary. I have the same problem. OK, I use 2 products: First apply Covergirl Advanced Radiance concealer, it's yellow based and is designed to cover up dark circles around the eye area, then apply Covergirl Fresh Complexion over the top and blend it in to your foundation, make sure you select a colour lighter than your foundation/skintone, this makes it look less yellow and should completely hide your dark circles. Its also very inexpensieve, I paid about $10 for each and I was very happy :) If you don't want it to look cakey, add a little bit of moisturiser to the second concealer, this makes it very sheer and smooth on your skin.
  12. Apply cold raw grated potato mixed with the juice of half lemon around the eye area. Leave on for about 20 minutes and wash off with cold milk. You can do this at least once or twice a week to see the difference. Check out http://useinfo-darkcircles.blogspot.com/ for more info.
