Pelvic lower pain 24/7?

I have lower pelvic pain and it's very sharp and very painful. Evidently there is NOTHING that can be done to help it. I just use ice packs and it doesn't really help besides to freeze that area Which feels okay for maybe 5 minutes. :( I can't walk to much or it really hurts.....Did you have this pain to and what happened once the baby dropped did it hurt more? I'm scared because i have a 7 and a 4 year old and my husband is out of town till the month that im due, and then he has to work anyways and school is out so im CLUELESS as to how im supposed to handle this and the kids :( If i cant move without being in major pain :(

  1. try to ask your OB, caused you cannot take anything besides Paracetamol if your pregnant.
  2. Ouch! Been there done that 3 times. Apparently the baby is in the delivery position. Relax if you can. Please get some family members to help you. The pain will stop shortly after you have your baby if YOU DON'T TRY TO DO A WHOLE BUNCH FOR 6 WEEKS. See now and days they tell us to wait two weeks before moving around the house. But PLEASE wait 6 weeks to try doing alot. Please don't have sex even if you stop bleeding before your 6 weeks is up. Try the kegal exercise as much as possible too. I still have pelvic pain when my period starts on the first day. And I believe it is because after my last child I didn't rest properly for my 6 weeks. The pain always went away after giving birth but it didn't the last time because I didn't rest. WEAR GOOD SUPPORTING SHOES ALSO!
  3. I would highly recommend seeing a chiropractor, preferably one who specializes or knows alot about pregnant women. It's hard to say what your pain could be--the sharpest pain I had was due to ligaments stretching, or once after an ultrasound, the babies foot was stretched out into my hip area and that killed! I went to my chiropractor regularly during my pregnancy and it was a huge help with the usual aches and pains, and then she was even able to help the baby get into the right position (she flipped breech for a few days near the end). I think some of her techniques also helped me go into labour. Your bones and muscles and ligaments need to be in the proper position to carry this baby without pain!! Look into it!!
  4. Wow, I had this too. it was so bad I couldn't walk! Felt like something was right on my pelvic bone. Best thing I could do to get it to stop was laying down! As for caring for your other kiddos. I had a 5 y-o when I was preggo with my daughter so he wasn't in school yet. Perhaps you can ask your mom or mom in law to help you with house cleaning and cooking..???
  5. Is there any way your husband can come home? He really should be there with you right now (I know you know that). See if he is able to take a leave of absence. Once that is out of the way, see about getting checked by your doctor if the baby has already dropped or if your baby is possibly sitting in one of your hip areas (happened to me, had a pinched nerve for about 3 months). If this does not work, someone mentioned a chiropractor for an adjustment; this could be beneficial as well. Your ligiments also may be stretching still, very painful at times... Have you tried a maternity massage? These are WONDERFUL and I highly recommend it. Good luck and I hope the pain subsides.
  6. You need a pregnancy cradle to help support your pelvis. You also need to keep your legs together as much as possible (which is particularly important when dressing or rolling over). http://www.plus-size-pregnancy.org/pubicpain.htm http://www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy/antenatalhealth/physicalhealth/pelvicpain/?_requestid=937969 http://www.babyworld.co.uk/information/pregnancy/pregnancyproblems/pregprobs_pelvicjointpain.asp http://www.baby-pregnancy-ultrasound-3d-4d.co.uk/Pregnancy-SPD.htm
