Is safe to do your own chemical peels at home?

I pay a ton of money to get the skin medica peel done every 6 weeks. It is a very mild peel with great results. I have been looking on the internet and found many home kits for Glycolic acid, TCA, and Salicylic peels. With proper instruction can I do them at home? I would be conservative. If anyone knows the answer maybe you can also recommend a brand. Thanks.

  1. I don't know how safe that is, but I can suggest that you make a list of the different at-home kits you've found. Make an appointment to see a dermatologist, and bring the list. Ask him/her if any of them would be safe for you to do at home, and ask for any tips on how to avoid problems.
  2. Yes, you can. I've been doing it for years. The problems occur with people who don't follow the instructions to the letter, but you seem to already be familiar with it, so you shouldn't have any problems. It'll definitely save you a bunch of money.
