Skin peeling excessively in the palms of my hands only?? Does not hurt but it flakes excessively?

I have not eaten or touch anything weird and this happened like 2 days ago. Both of my hands are peeling in the palms only. Basically the whole palm and fingers are peeling but no where else is. It looks scary and i got no idea what caused it or how to treat it. Although i don't think it's dryness cuz no where else on my skin is peeling or showing signs of dryness.

  1. Eucerin cream- it is oil based, not water based. Soak your hands in hot water with baby or massage oil poured in, take them out after 20 min of so, slather them with oil based lotion, put a brand new pair of cotton socks or gloves on them, and go to bed. Tomorrow, in the shower, use an exfoliating scrub or washcloth gently, trying not to open wounds. Go about your day, repeat the soaking, and gloving, for a few days.
  2. if u got what i had when i was younger it could possibly be dermatitis and what has worked rele well for me is freederm. check out freederm.com ....sux that its only available online but its rele done the trick for me
  3. I have something like that as well. My doctor told me it was ecxema and to use Eucerine lotion. She told me it was caused by the hard water in our area. The water has something in it that in a way irritates the skin on my hands. She suggested using rubber gloves if I needed to have my hands in the water and when I need to wash my hands there is a hand-sanatizer gel that's aslo anti-bacterial....like a 2 in 1.
  4. I have extremely dry skin and this happens to my hands and feet about twice a year for no apparent reason. I feel like a snake shedding it's skin, it's gross. Winter is a bad time because where I live it is a dry cold so my skin is at it's worst. Just last week I had patches on both palms and this week they've gone. It's weird and it seems to come and go. Mine is not like excema there is no cracking or open wounds, I just lose the top layer of skin. I use olive oil and it really help. My skin just sucks it up and it doesn't leave you skin feeling oily like baby oil does.
