What can I do to keep my face from peeling during the winter?
My skin gets all dried out and flaky/peely during the winter. I moisturize on a regular basis but it never seems to work! Is there another product besides moisturizer that will help keep the skin on my face from flaking and peeling during the fall/winter months? Sloan - is that safe for your face, though?

- Yes, Bag Balm. It's a salve for cow's utter's. Us carpenters have been using it for years on all of our exposed body parts. It works wonders. Try it. You can find it at most pharmacies/ drug stores or feed stores.
- use lanolin based moisturizer. if this doesn't work, i normally apply pertoleum jelly before i go out.
- Moisturizers is what you need to continue to use! Apply an extra layer when you go out. In the cooler seasons, your face is going to dry up more so you're going to have to apply more. Sometimes I apply 3 times a day instead of the normal 2 times a day when it starts to get cool. I usually use a little bit of Vaseline or 100% cocoa butter on my face. It helps me! If you take moisturizing out of your routine your face may do more than just peel...so keep on moisturizing and be consistent with it! Drink plenty of water too, your skin and body may be in desperate need of it right now as well! HOPE THIS HELPS!
- I live in Utah ( Dry and Wintery State) and I use Clinique Moisture On-Call Cream. It's thick and so creamy and it makes your skin look fresh and glowing throughout the winter. It's $36.00 and definitly worth it.
- To keep your skin from peeling you need to remove the dead layer of skin (that is peeling). Wash your face with a paste made from oatmeal and milk. The oatmeal will help to remove the dead, dry skin and the milk will moisturize it. You can use it everyday. Shea butter is an excellent moisturizer and it is not 'greasy'. Rub the shea butter on and then remove it with a cotton pad. You will see the dry skin on the cotton pad.
- i use oil of Olay products if does not help you try vitamin e or vitamin e oil
