  1. http://www.babycenter.com/refcap/pregnancy/pregnancybeauty/1352276.html That article about stretchmarks is really good. Unfortunately there is no proof that creams work ( i used cocoa butter during my pregnancy and i STILL got horrible stretchmarks!) i did read that if you are well hydrated your skin will strech better because you have more elasticity therefore you get less stretchmarks.
  2. Thats pretty funny that you asked this question because strangely enough my mom just mentioned something about what u do for stretch marks ealier ... You know about vitamins ... right? Well, VITAMIN C. [[the tablets]] are THE best thing. My mom took tons of vitamin C. 3 times a day she took 4 vitamin C's. & guess what? Nooooo stretch marks. The reason is because the vitamin nurtures the skin & helps it become more elastic which ... leads to no stretch marks. =) my aunt & my grandma didnt take the vitamin C at all & they still had stretch marks .... [ewwwy!] hope this helps. =) [you can get vitamin C at your local grocery store: wal-mart, fred meyers, safeway, etc.]
  3. Unfortunately the only thing that really works is lucky genetics. If your mom/grandma didn't get them, then you probably won't. If they did, you most likely will too. Lotions and creams will help with itchiness, but won't really do anything for stretchmarks.
  4. I am happy to tell you that it is working for me. I have been using Strivectin-SD for about three weeks on stretchmarks that I have on my very low, lower back (top of the pelvis) and on my hips/glutes and also on my breast tissue. I am 28 and have had these stretchmarks since I was 12 (so for over 15 years) and the Strivectin is helping. I don't expect them to completely go away, as it says that and that is pretty unrealistic...but they are much more faint and I can see improvements every few days. I am also using a little bit on my face and I see that there is firmer, smoother skin where I used to have a wrinkle on my forehead, fine lines under my eyes, and the deeper lines next to my mouth. I am really enjoying the product. I got a small tube of it (2oz) at Costco in a kit with two other products and that got used up pretty fast because I am using it in so many areas. I think you can get $10 off or something on the strivectin website if you buy two bottles. It is expensive, and you have to put it on three times a day for stretch marks (though I personally have only been doing it twice a day for the past week or so...I started with three time though). But it is working for me. They sell an eye cream too, but the only difference is that it doesn't have the fragrance. I have sensitive skin/eyes, and the original formula doesn't bother my eyes when I use it on my face...so I just use that rather than buy the eye cream (the eye cream is more expensive by ounce). I am really excited about the product and I hope it works for you! : )
