  1. No you dont die. I eat the orange peel form time to time. it has a nice citrusy taste. I could understand it could give you a little indigestion. Actually the orange peel is the most nutrious part of the fruit. Same thing with the kiwi.
  2. dont think it will kill you but the body will have alot of trouble trying to digest it stick to the inside, its tasty & will keep you well do you usually eat the rappers?
  3. Orange peels are not poisonous by themselves, BUT, they are heavily, heavily, heavily sprayed with pesticides so it can cause massive problems if you eat them often. Do not eat them unless they are certified organic from a reliable source. Do not trust USDA organic labels though (they are obsolete).
  4. NO, they are not. Always use a fruit & veggie wash to wash any part you eat. Orange Peel marmalade & candy are popular treats. Your friend is wrong.
  5. No that's not true. Actually, orange peel is an ingredient used in many candies, desserts and other recipes. Your friend is incorrect.
  6. no orange peels are not poisonous
  7. false. don't eat them anyway cuz they taste awfull. i know for a fact, they aren't poisonus. been there, done that.
  8. No they are not , you can use them in cooking and baking or to garnish drinks and food . But they should be washed before usage because so many hands have touched the fruit and the same goes for mandarins ,lemons and limes.
  9. No, they're not. The orange part (the zest) is used in a lot of recipes to boost orange flavor because it's full of orange oil. The white part is the pith and it's bitter and doesn't taste too good. It won't kill you, but you might have trouble swallowing it!! Candied orange peels (basically cooked in sugar syrup and dried) are a fancy candy. People certainly wouldn't eat them if they were toxic!
  10. No they aren't but wash them a lot before eating them because of pesticides. You may feel a little sick because of the bitter taste or because your not used to eating something like that.
  11. Totally not true. They can be cooked with lots of sugar to make candied rind. Some people love it. And marmalade. So yes, you can eat the peel even if it won't taste very good.
  12. No not at all if fact most cooks use them to add extra punch to thier citrus based recipes. Nor or any citrus fruits rines. I do wash them really good with a veggie soap to rid them of nasty stuff.
