How long do banana peels take to rot? My toilet is clogged with a banana peel! Thanks to my 5 year old.

- hahah! sorry... had to laugh. You can use something called a snake. You put it in the hole, and it pushes out the obstruction. They sell them in hardware stores/ home depot, etc. That will work like a charm...
- Just use a coat hanger wire to retrieve the banana peel from the toilet and toss it in the trash! If it's really jammed in then rent a snake from a hardware rental place. It costs about $12 to rent it and a deposit on it when you return it you get your deposit back. If you bought a snake from a hardware or plumbing store you'll pay over $80 for one as they are expensive!
- Hard to believe a banana peel has clogged your toilet, what else was flushed with it? A banana peel is no worse that a healthy crap with a lot of toilet paper. I suggest you get a hand operated snake and run that down it, there less than $20 for about a 10 foot one at Ace or Home Depot. For now pour bleach into the toilet and let it set, that will break it down.
- You can buy an inexpensive pipe snake at walmart that could pull most of this out.
