Is Human Growth Hormone (HGH) bad for you? Looking for a energy boost.......?
Public Comments
- Yes, especially if you have cancer. It can escalate the illness.
- HGH is exactly what it says on the tin, a GROWTH HORMONE, not an "energy boost"! Christ, get yourself some Red Bull and a decent nights sleep for goodness sake!!!
- Your body makes HGH naturally. As you age, it tends to slow down this process, however, if you support your body with good nutrition, it greatly enhances the body's own ability to make the HGH. If you take synthetic HGH that is being sold on the market, you will derive a small benefit for a short while, but it will damage your DNA and you will become dependent upon it. You best bet is to improve your diet, to improve your digestion and blood sugar regulation. You will be much healthier and live much longer. Your diet should consist of 40% Carbs, 30% fats, and 30% proteins. The 30% fats should be broken down by a ratio of: 60% monounsaturated fats (like Olive Oil ---- NOT VEGETABLE OILS!); 30% saturated fats (from real butter made from RAW cream, virgin coconut oil, fat from grass fed beef --- NOT GRAIN FED COWS fed in FEED LOTS!); 10% polyunsaturated fats in a 1:1 ratio of omega 3 to omega 6 fatty acids. Don't listen to those crazies out there that drink those energy drinks to boost energy, like Red Bull. That is loaded with things that exhaust your adrenal glands and put your body in a state of stress that stops your production of steroid hormones that control sex glands and your thyroid, due to excess pregnenalone production that goes to making cortisol (the stress hormone) instead of the steroid hormones. That is just lunacy! good luck
- How about a big cup of coffee , depends on your age for hgh ,and can you still develop it naturally
- try some yohimbe instead.... i take it each time i go mountain biking and it allows me to ride hard and long and be more daring!
- Good god man, you do not take steroids for an energy boost. Look up side effects for steroid which is what HGH is. Then get an energy drink.
- The only way you are going to see an energy boost is if you are over 40 and using it for at least a couple of months. The same thing goes for all the dietary supplements that stimulate natural hgh production. Benefits under 40 are generally marginal and almost nonexistent under 30.
- Many great answers here.. There are far better alternatives to gaining energy than HGH (which does improve energy - but only after a long period of use). See: http://www.nutraplanet.com
