Cock fighting has a dirty little secret. Chickens are being injected with performance enhancing drugs, HGH to be exact. This practice is making a mockery of fair competition and sportsmanship. I guess I don't understand the thinking behind using HGH. Research shows that 95% of the birds are on the juice. So what is the advantage if most of the birds are using? The only explanation I can come up with is. Using HGH, the cocks become aggressive and angry which might make for a better fight, equaling more entertainment. Speaking anonymously, one well known cock trainer stated "HGH is the greatest equalizer to hit our sport in 30 years. The stamina and strength our birds are achieving it's unbelievable". Should we be offended that cocks are being injected to promote longer and more brutal matches? I am on the fence on this one. What do you think?
