is it true that steroids or growth hormone injection make you taller and stronger?

i recently wanted to get a growth hormone injection to grow taller.. i am 17 male.. and is it true that growth hormone injection really gives you extra few inches on your height? and is growth hormone same as steroids? i also read about many articles that growth hormones are used for person who has hormone deficiency so they give you injection and make you grow properly.. i am about 5ft7~5ft8 i really want to gain 2~3 more inches

2. They won't give it to you if it's just cosmetic, not a health risk. Besides HGH is mostly for joints, tendons and ligaments.

4. growth hormone can when it is administered in the right phase of growth. neither anabolic or androgenic steroids will cause growth of the human skeletal system. typically Dr's will only provide treatment for those that are not growing properly due to problems with the endocrine system. GH treatment is typically not covered by most health plans and is very expensive. at your current age and height no Dr would prescribe GH for that reason for you

6. Growth hormone is for people who are just entering puberty later and steroids are just testosterone (the male sex hormone), which makes muscle easier to build, but you will not automatically gain the muscle.
