Do eye creams really prevent fine lines or...?

...is it just all one big con? I am interested to hear all opinions and also from people who may have used eye cream for a few years.

Public Comments

  1. any kind of moisture for the face will keep it young, including for the eyes.
  2. In a nutshell, no. Hereditary factors and exposure to the sun is what causes them. Using an eye cream will plump up the lines around the eyes, thus reducing the appearance of fine lines. Remember, it's a billion dollar industry out there and any companies main target is to get you to buy their product. See http://www.cosmeticscop.com/learn/art.asp?ID=187 for more info.
  3. I use eye creams but it's hard to say if it's helping me. I don't see any fine lines but maybe I wouldn't if I didn't use eye creams. Guess I'll know in about 10 years.
  4. YES YES YES! I don't care what the 'cosmetic cop' says--I know from experience. If you can't believe advertising why should you believe an internet article? However, I do believe many of the products in department and drug stores are advertising falsely. There are good ones out there. Obviously it depends on the product you use. Some are way better than others. If you ask any woman of a certain age who looks great, they will tell you they moisturize.
  5. I've been using under-eye cream and moisturiser every day since I was about 16, now 37, and I don't have fine lines. Can't say it is definately because of the creams but something has worked.
  6. Dr. Denese skin care works
  7. No and there ain't no scientific proof either. Stay out of the sun or use sun-block. Hydrate your skin to fluff up any wrinkles.
