oily face cream?

my mom gave me this cream and she said even tho it makes your skin oily still use it because it was like these rehydration cream. so when i put it on it wasn't that oily and then after like 3 hours my face is really oily, and when i use the oil sheets it took me 2 sheets to wipe all the oil off my face (isn't usually this oily) and the whole sheet was transparent afterwards. am i supposed to rub the oil off or let it stay?? and where does the oil come from, my face or the cream?

1. The cream is too oily for your type face. It shouldn't be that oily, because if your skin gets too oily, it can go into your pores to create acne. Get a different hydrating cream. Make sure it says it's non-greasy, light, and non-comedogenic. (It won't clog pores.) The brands I like are Clean & Clear and Olay.
