Why eat lemon peels? Why not?
My friend's grandma eats them. I tried it, and the thing went right down easy. But why? Does it have high fiber? Vitamin C? Or is it just something silly she does? Also, does this imply that I can eat orange peels or nectarine peels? It would really float my boat if I didn't have to peel my oranges or nectarines. Or... Is it all unhealthy, and my friend's grandmother insane?

- Put your search engine to work and do some research on that...I searched on "why eat lemon peel" (no quotes) and found this: "The peels of lemons and limes are among a small number of foods that contain measurable amounts of oxalates, naturally-occurring substances found in plants, animals, and human beings. When oxalates become too concentrated in body fluids, they can crystallize and cause health problems. For this reason, individuals with already existing and untreated kidney or gallbladder problems may want to avoid eating lemon or lime peels. "
- it has a lot of fiber and u can put it in a sponge cake like orange peels:)
- try taking a bite from the lemon peel after you have finished your long island iced tea. freshens your breath.
