could you describe the anti-aging process in Brave New World? like blood surrogate or something?? i read the book before but i forgot where i could find it and i odn't have time to go thorugh the book all over again. and what's the significance of anti-aging in the novel? does it suport the society's concept of community, identity, stability?? howw??

- I thought it was because they killed people when they got too old--sent them to the "hospital" and they did not return. As for the significance of anti-aging in the novel (if you had read it, you would know) it is because the society wanted to be seen as perfect and beautiful and age does not fit into that. They identify themselves as people who do not repair things that are ruined or old--they throw them away. So what do they do with people who have become old in their society? Also, it is a lot easier for them to care for young people than old--they do not get sick or tired, they are just addicted to Soma.
