If anyone has ever had an AHA peel I want to know if it's worth it. Does it hurt at all? Does it smoothen the skin? How long does it last and of course... how long does it take to recover? I had it done twice and yes it is uncomfortable. It will leave your face raw and red - some areas will darken and then the dead skin falls off. It made my skin look smoother temporarily, but did not remove the marks I wanted it to. Your face may also break out after because it's fresh skin and if you are susceptible to pimples you may have a mild break out. I would not do it again. Depending on what you are trying to accomplish you may have to have it done several time. It burns when it's being applied.
