5. Provided the orange peel is washed of all insecticides and germs, it will do you no harm. In fact, the fibre in the peel is arguably quite good for you and it¹s been suggested the pith may be a preventative against lung cancer. Try organic oranges ­ they haven¹t been sprayed with chemicals.

7. No, it's still natural and has some great nutrients under the skin (that usually gets cut off if you peel your orange). Should be fine. You can eat all parts of an orange. Plus I would say it's similar to eating a whole apple with the skin on. And people put orange and lemon rinds on/in cakes all the time. Eat away!

11. no you wont get sick. I read somewhere (maybe webmd, who knows) that the peal have more vitamin c and less carbohydrates than the actual wedges. It really doesn't taste to good in my opinion. Some people like them though, one of my science teachers used to sit in the front of the classroom and eat em like apples lol
12. no u can not as long as it has been washed well. there are some candy reciepes that use the peel of oranges like candy peels dipped in chocolate. also orange zest is the top part of the orange skin,
