Anyone tried chemical or acid peels?

to get rid of freckles by a dermatologist? how much do they usually cost, and is it painful?

1. I think freckles are actually very pretty. Sorry I dont really have any info about the procedure, I just really think freckles are pretty on a girls.
2. i tried a chemical peel before (not here in the US so I don't know the cost in US dollars) and it will take several sessions to apply the solution on skin until it peels considerably the topmost skin layer and resurface fresher lighter skin tone.. the effect is wonderfully even toned fair skin.. the pain is manageable due to skin peeling where additional topical treatments will sting a bit to regenerate new skin.. but i found it costly to maintain and that doesn't make you freckle-prone anymore.. because you still are subject to freckling as long as you go out in the sun, and only sunscreen will protect you from that. so now i'm just using a $9 mild skin lightening soap and wear a high spf (30 or better) sunscreen to keep my freckles at a minimum.. freckles will never disappear, you can only fade them.. and i chose to do it in a more cost-effective way. :-)
3. I honestly am not to sure about a chemical peel except that i have heard they are expensive and painful, i also heard that after words you have to stay out of the sun. how ever i also have freckles all over my face, and i use a product called bright idea by a company called Artistry. it improves on brightness of skin and helps to lighten up dark spots! And boy did it ever work! its great and i have absolutly loved it! i know that is is 100% money back if you don't like it and its around $59.00 but it is a heck of a lot less painful (cause it dosen't hurt its just a cream) than chemical peels and cheeper too! anyway i got mine @ www.vherr.qbeautyzone.com. hope this helps good luck
