at what age should someone switch from using anti-acne products on their face to age maintenance products?

i'm 24 with nice skin but i used to have a mild acne problem until i started using this product when i was 20 that has cleared it up COMPLETELY. but now close to 25, i'm starting to see small effects from sun damage and a few expression lines. not sure when i should make the switch...

  1. you should start using anti-age products if you see wrinkles
  2. Wrinkled was not one of the things I wanted to be when i grew up. So my guess is. Do not procrastinate.
  3. Like it or not, the number one anti-aging product is sunscreen. Ninety percent of ALL aging- that means wrinkles, fine lines, loss of elasticity in the skin, dark spots- are all directly related to harmful exposure to the sun. Make sure you get a physical sunscreen (not chemical) which blocks the sun. Good news is products like Colorescience have tinted powdered sunscreen or mineral foundations with an SPF 30 - so you can look good and be on an anti-aging program. You can look tan if you want and still have sun protection. You can't stop the damage that has already been done, but you can stop it now. It only takes a couple of minutes in the sun to start the aging clock ticking. Then stop using drying acne products. Anyway most acne is caused by bacteria, so if you shelf all those liquid foundations you are doing yourself a favor. Then make sure you cleanse, hydrate, and apply sunscreen in the morning and clean and a deeper moisturizer at night. Simple. Easy. It works. Just remember that most product sthat have sunscreen are chemical, and they start breaking down the minute you go in the sun. You need a physical sunprotection (one that block the uva and uvb rays) not a chemical one ( that is absorbed into your skin and start your acne all over again).
  4. I'm 23 and I use them now. I have acne but I am in the sun a lot. so I have to protect my skin from sun damage. To do that is to start on a new skin regimen. Don't go all out and buy every anti-aging products but buy things that can help improve your skin for the future. I use philosophy make up optional kit and its the best thing. It helps with my acne but also helps my skin stay glowing.
