Postnatal stretch marks please help?

I have these white lines all around my belly button.. In sunlight they look like I've burned my skin.. They look like digged lines. When I sit down my tummy is all creased.. I phoned a cosmetic clinic and asked for any treatments. The only treatment they told me is "parisian peel". It's a microdermabrasion treatment. Parisian Peel is a powerful but gentle anti-aging procedure that exfoliates, refreshes and renews your skin. A directed stream of micro-crystals, combined with vacuum to rejuvenate the skin is used. Do you think this could work?? any one had this treatment? what were the results?

  1. I am not to familiar with this procedure but, I can honestly tell you that there is NOTHING that can get rid of stretch marks if that is actually what your looking at. If they are stretch marks you will be able to touch them and feel indentations and stretch marks are usually a pinking/purple. I have 5 kids and just had my fifth two weeks ago and I got lucky about stretch marks on my stomach. I don't have any but, I do have some on my thighs really high up near my hips and they are purple and they are indented and they are lines that are usually squiggly. I have tried stretch mark creams and I lotioned my body while pregnant and so on and so on. They are not caused because of the baby . They are there because when we get pregnant we gain weight and we gain it fast. The skin stretches and if there isn't enough elasticity in our skin it caused stretch marks . The same thing happens to men who gain weight or who has been heavy and then lost the weight. So, if they aren't that bad or plan on having more children the procedure isn't worth it. Good luck to you. Wanda
  2. Try cocco butter first before you go that extreme and the tummy being creased is normal do some ab work and you should be back to normal in no time.
  3. Honey I am still struggling with this and always will. I'm only 24 and had a very long hard labor. They pumped me full of fluids, along with me drinking an insane amount of Juice because I was so thirty. I looked like a puffed marshmallow for 2 months after and so did my skin. I have stretch marks everywhere. Arms, boobs, stomach, butt, thighs and even my calves. I hated myself for a year, I was totally depressed and didn't even care about losing my baby weight because, hey, what was the point? I'm ruined forever. I thought I would never be comfortable in my own skin again. Well, I realized I couldn't go on like that and started losing the weight. I'm down to what I was when I got pregnant and my goal is to get to a size five. I now know that I'll never be the smokin' hot smooth skinned 20 year old again, but I can lose the weight, and when I'm done having kids get my tummy tuck and my breast reduction( cause I've always had large breast) and lift and I think I'll be very happy with myself. I'm a woman now, a mother, and there is nothing in the world that is hotter than a happy, fit, confident Woman. Anybody who looks at a woman and only see's their stretch marks as an ugly scar isn't someone you wanna know anyway. If you aren't done having kids don't waste money on anything yet. You might stretch out more and then you can get a tummy tuck, even a little one and it'll take care of some of those stretch marks.
