I have dark circles and puffiness and have extremely sensitive skin. Please suggest under eye creams (cost).?

I require good, effective under eye creams that can help reduce these. Also, as my skin is extremely sensitive, I need creams which aren't too strong.

  1. I've heard that the creams dont do anything. The dark circles and puffiness mean that you underhydrated. Drink more water. Even if you are drinking the recommended 8 glasses a day, drink more it might just mean that your body needs more than the average person.
  2. My older sister is a professional makeup artist and teaches at Blanche Macdonald. I asked her and she says the most effective and cheap thing to use is hemorrhoid ointment. Preparation H will do the trick and reduce the puffiness immensely. For the dark circles, you need to buy an illuminating eye pencil and put it in the corner of your eyes.
  3. I would say... get more sleep or use a cosmetic such as maybelline mouse.. Its great, it will cover up any bags or black lines... mm.. though if its like a skin disorder.. take a visit and see your dermatologist.
  4. i found that pile cream is excellent all clebs use it .
  5. Sally's Beauty Supply sells a product called "Claudia Stevens Chamomile Herbal Eye Treatment Stick". I live in PA and in my area is costs $3.49. It comes in a box but it's really a green lipstick looking product. I have the most sensitive skin of anybody I've ever met and I think that this stuff works great. The first time I used it I thought Wow my under eye is the same color as the rest of my face. It worked so good that I bought it for my Mom and told her to try it and tell me if it was my imagination. Her under eyes are worse than mine. Mine are a little dark, she has dark and puffy. After awhile I asked her what she thought and she thought it was a big improvement. She uses hers in the morning and in the night. I use it only under my makeup when I'm going out. If you try it I hope it really works as good for you as it does for us. It's worth trying for the $3.49 price tag. Good Luck!!! :)
  6. The best way to treat these problem is to prevent it by sleeping earlier and do not drink too much water before sleep. The problem also indicate the decrease of efficiency in your blood circulation. You might want to try using used tea bag to put on top of your eyes, but some give feedback that it make the circle darker. Next is used a spoon that soaked into ice water and used it to gentlely tap at the puffiness. About eye cream... you have to be very careful as you have sensitive skin. Some brand will cause you to have white spot around your eyes. Depend on where do you live, if in singapore or malaysia, I will suggest you to try my eye cream, a lot of my customer said it is a lot more better compare to other brand that cost 5-6 times more. This eye cream improve the blood circulation around the eye so decrease the puffiness and dark colour.
  7. Hi, The puffiness is usually caused by allergies, so a visit to an allergist may be an option. It can also be hereditary. Read below, and I have pasted the link down below as well. It's from a doctor at the Mayo clinic. Also this from the same doctor concerning puffiness: Mild puffiness of the skin under your eyes can result from a number of causes, including: Heredity Fluid retention such as due to changes in weather or hormone levels Allergies or dermatitis, especially if puffiness is accompanied by redness and itching Under-eye puffiness is usually only a temporary cosmetic concern and rarely a sign of a serious underlying medical condition. Some tips for reducing mild under-eye puffiness: Raise the head of your bed at night. This helps prevent fluids from accumulating around your eyes as you sleep. While sitting up, apply a cool tap water compress to the skin under your eyes for a few minutes. You can also use chilled cucumber slices, a refrigerated gel mask or chilled, damp tea bags. There is some anecdotal evidence that hemorrhoid cream applied under the eyes can reduce puffiness. But no clinical trials have evaluated its effectiveness for this use. Also, ingredients in hemorrhoid cream may be irritating to the skin around your eyes, resulting in dryness and inflammation. If puffiness is severe and persistent or you notice swelling (edema) in other parts of your body, see your doctor. He or she will want to rule out other possible causes of swelling, such as kidney or thyroid problems or a side effect of medications. Almost everyone gets dark circles under their eyes from time to time. Dark circles under eyes usually are temporary and not a medical concern. You may be surprised to learn that fatigue usually isn't the cause of dark circles. Instead, the most common cause is nasal congestion. When your nose is congested, veins that usually drain from your eyes into your nose become widened (dilated) and darker. Another cause of undereye circles is eyelid swelling during sleep. When you lie down, gravity can cause fluid to collect in your lower eyelids. This swelling may create the appearance of shadows below your eyes. In addition, dark circles can result from chronic skin conditions, such as atopic eczema. Dark circles can also run in families. Over-the-counter products may help diminish dark circles under eyes. Look for skin creams that contain vitamin C or K, alpha hydroxy acid and kinetin. Treatment for chronic and severe undereye circles is directed at the underlying cause, if known, and may include bleaching agents and laser therapy. I still use eye products, but if yours are caused by any of the above, not transitory, then none will do very much. There are two makeup boards..makeupalley.com. and makeuptalk.com They are fun to learn about almost anything concerning makeup and skin care. They are just consumers who like to write reviews on their products. Most of the savvy ones will admit that they don't do too much. I would visit an allergist to start with, and in the meantime, try the hemorroid cream. Go to the makeup boards and find a concealer that you like. I think Stila makea a good one. Do you sleep on a feather pillow? Is it possible there is mold in your home..it doesn't have to be visable. Definitely check out the allergist and if you've had dark circles since you were very young, then a visit to a dermotologist or a plastic surgeon could possibly offer you some options. Sorry, there is no "magic" eyecream on the market that really does much other than moisurize the eye area. Not a bad thing to do, but it won't take care of the problem.
  8. ok firstly don't take much of stress and take good sleep time. Drink lot's of water and at sunlight use any sunscream and sunglass and at night clean your eye's with lots of cold water and then you can use cucumber slice and deep cotton in rose water and keep it in your eye's
  9. since you have a sensitive skin don't harm your skin by applying hard comestics. To reduce dark circle take plenty of sleep, drink lots of water and massage your under-eye area gently to remove puffiness.
  10. Don't go for any creams. They give temporary relief and then the problem becomes worser. For dark circles, before going to bed, apply cucumber and potato juice and relax for 15mins. Then wash your face and get to bed. The puffiness is due to lack of water in your body. Drink around 10 glasses of fluids everyday. Wash your face with cold water as soon as you wake up. Or as soon as you wake up, drink a glass or two of water and get back to bed. Wake up after 15-20 mins and go to the bathroom. This will kick start your kidneys which will drain excess fluids from your body.

  13. There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known. http://www.mydarkcirclesblog.com/2006/11/27/causes-of-dark-circles/ If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions: Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles. http://www.mydarkcirclesblog.com/2007/01/01/special-spa-home-remedy-to-reduce-dark-circles/ To hide dark circles, you can use YSL concealer or salmon concealer.. http://www.mydarkcirclesblog.com .. tips on how to reduce dark circles, the causes of dark circles, home remedies, eye creams reviews, make up tips, and natural healer. http://www.cleansecolonblog.com Cleanse Colon Blog writes about colon cleanse home remedies and review colon cleanse products.
