Retin-A for anti-aging?

I am 27 and have VERY dry skin (e.g., I can use straight olive oil on my skin and not break out). My doc just prescribed Retin-A for anti-aging. Has anyone ever used it for this purpose? Could you tell a difference? Also, are you able to safely use it around your eye area? Do you have any other anti-aging suggestions for use in conjunction with Retin-A? Sorry, but you can't use Botox to PREVENT wrinkles. I've been using the .025% Retin-A every night for a week, without any irritation or redness.

  1. 10 years ago, Retin A was thought to have a poisitive effect on wrinkles. It was kinda true, but the effect was rather undramatic. When botox came into being, retin a was pretty much forgotten. Dry skin responds favorably to some hydrophylic creams. Nothing but a specific eye ointment should be used around the eye.
  2. Retin A makes your face PEEL and get red! It does help wrinkles, but only by making you go through the peeling process. I would suggest Kinerase Cream (not the lotion, based on your particular skin type). It's expensive, but way worth it. I get it at canadapharmacy.com because it's a bit cheaper abroad.
  3. You should try VIBE! Perfect for ANTI-AGING! Go to www.eniva.com! Write this # down 195215. You may need it. You will feel great, look better, sound better this stuff is great.
