do anti wrinkle creams really work?
Public Comments
- Not really, my Auntie still has wrinkles
- no
- i dont think they do really! if they did work, y wouldnt all these famous people swim in it daily....instead of paying for surgery!!!
- On the Today show, they said that they will not make wrinkles go away, but they will your skin look better.
- No but I hear Botox works. It is used to numb the muscles that cause wrinkles.
- No, the only effective anti-aging cream is sunblock. Use a moisturiser with an SPF of at least 15 every day and don't use sunbeds.
- Of course .... NOT !
- Okay think about this... if it did... don't you think people would pay over a million $'s or £'s for it... So no... 'coz they sell it for 9.99 in asda/walmart! Never a truer word spoken! Stop letting cosmetic companies rip you off!
- Yes, but only if you don't have wrinkles in the first place :P
- well, apparantly the really expensive ones that are ridiculously priced, do have some sort of chemical in it to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, but i say: what can really stop our body's natural course???
- they give me pimples
- No, none of the things in them can penetrate your skin - your skin's outer surface is several tough layers of keratinised dead skin cells. Even organic compounds would be hard-pressed to get through this tough water-proof barrier. The cosmetic companies con people because they don't realise their pseudo-scientific jargon is misleading rubbish. Stick with cheap moisturiser and high factor sun cream.
- Some do on fine lines. But good diet, plenty of water and no sun or cigarettes works better.
- no, if it did, old people wouldnt have wrinkles.
- Nope
- Some have chemicals in them to really exfoliate your skin therefore reducing the look of fine lines and wrinkles. The best way is to really look after your skin and not get them in the first place. Always use a high SPF that blocks A B and C rays. Most only block A and B. Drink plenty of water as some lines are superficial from skin being dehydrated.
