Does artificial growth hormone really work?

I wanted to know because i've heard about growth hormone on the internet and in the news.They say you can get injections,take pills, ect.But is it real?How much does it cost?How much height can you gain?Does anyone know?

1. it's for people with growth deficiency, and after many tests, your dr. can prescribe it it's expensive it just depends on your body how effective it can be my friend's son has to take the shots, poor thing
2. It can help you grow taller only if the growth plates are still open. So athletes take it take increase muscle mass etc, but there are serious side effects. If you are young and the growth plates are not closed, and you are having issues, talk to your doctor.
