access to growth hormone?

im 18 and im 5 ft 1" so I was wondering if that was enough to get a doctor to prescribe growth hormone to me? either that or is there a natural supplement to jump up my body's amount of growth hormone production in the pituitary gland? i heard that some states put hormone in their milk but i dont live in the US so it sucks to be me

1. Once you have reached puberty, taking growth hormone is not effective at increasing your height. At puberty, the epiphyses in your long bones close, inhibiting further lengthening of them. Taking growth hormone after puberty will therefore not help you grow taller. However, the other functions of growth hormone will occur. These include the widening of your bones and various metabolic functions. It is not a good idea to take growth hormone after puberty, especially for growth. The main purpose it serves for post-pubertal patients is those with AIDS Wasting Syndrome.
2. Not likely enough to get a doctor's prescription. The other issue aside from the prescription is the prohibitive cost of human growth hormones. These growth hormones more commonly referred to as hGH or genetically engineered growth hormones are manufactured by only a few qualified facilities or pharmeceutical companies such as Genentech which manufactures Nutropin (AQ) which is the brand name repalcement for the hormone Somatropin. A one year supply of Nutropin AQ at 1.3 mg per day costs about $40,000 to $45,000 per year. It is a widely accepted medical necessity for patients suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease short in stature and have not had a kidney transplant. Consider yourself lucky compared to those who do need it.
3. Your height is determined by your genes. Are your parents tall? If not, 5'1" might be what you are meant to be. Don't give up yet though, you are only 18 and males usually don't quit growing until age 21. I always thought my neighbors' 2 boys were going to be short and so did she, their mother. You should see them now! Both have got to be close, if not, 6'! You probably haven't hit your last growth spurt, so be ready.
