- We tried Glaxal base moisterizing cream by wellskin. It's hypoallergenic, perfume free, lanolin free, and not greasy. It doesn't burn when you put it on and it's for sensitive skin.
- Palmers Cocoa Butter is pretty good. Also try wool fat (lanolin). Did the dermatologist conduct an allergy test? if not, get one done to rule out that your skin condition might be an allergy. (if you didnt like the dermatologist there are plenty more out there to go to) i googled 'dry flaky skin' and below is the link to the results of this search. perhaps have a look around there and see if there are other remedies or possible conclusions as to what exactly your condition is. i wish you well
- Eucerin lotions/products are great for really dry skin.
- You should use creams. They have less alcohol in them. Eucerin is good. Another idea would be to use Cetaphil in the shower to help moisturize.
- may i suggest to deal w/ the inner self w/ a multi vit then flaxseed oil cap/primrose oil cap/ & drinking lots of water. If u have tried several different types of lotions, mayb it's NOT the lotion u need, it's to help u'r insides so that u produce more oils for u'r skin. It sounds like it screaming for water, water & water along w/ what i mentioned. i've seen big improvement w/ my skin & hair & nails (borage oil) & i gave flaxseed oil to my cat who had very coarse hair, & we saw a BIG different in the texture sooo it's worth a try.
